Strengthening Collaboration with Libya: Decarbonization and ESG Initiatives

Yesterday in Tripoli (Libya ) 🇱🇾 our The Rob Rockefeller Tunisia Branch CEO Lassaad Kedimi he was welcomed with great hospitality in the headquarters of the Libyan Ministry of Industry and Metal for a important meeting with the Libyan Minister of Industry and Metal Mr. Ahmed Abou Hissa 🤝 and the representatives of: -The Libyan National Oil Company NOCL -The largest The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (Lisco) And many Libyan industrialists from several economic sectors and senior executives of the Libyans ministries. 

An action plan will be proposed by The RRSC TUNISIA to help the Libyan authorities to equip themselves with a decarbonization and ESG strategy.

Two stimulations will be made in the coming days for an oil site and the steel Compagnies Furthermore, series of training courses in carbon and ESG will be organized for Libyan executives from January 2025.

His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Abou Hissa, welcomed this collaboration and gave his personal support and that of his ministry to succeed in this reciprocal and fruitful collaboration.

A delegation of Libyan oil companies will be present in Tunisia on the occasion of the North African decarbonization forum for the oil and gas sectors on January 22, 2025 at the headquarters of UTICA in Tunis organized by The RRSC Tunisia and in collaboration with: ETAP, ATPG, CTC, TEN’S The Rob Rockefeller Standard Carbon ETAP ATPG Tunisie CTC-Centre Technique de la Chimie Tunisia ENergy Society
